Understanding Shoulder Pain and Its Dynamics

The shoulder, a versatile joint, is susceptible to various injuries and conditions. Its intricate composition includes the humerus, scapula, and rotator cuff muscles, among others. Disruptions in these components can cause significant discomfort and limitations.

Root Causes of Shoulder Pain

  • Arthritis: Including osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, causing joint inflammation and pain.
  • Tendonitis and Bursitis: Often from overuse or repetitive movements.
  • Dislocation: A painful injury increasing the risk of future occurrences.
  • Frozen Shoulder: Stiffness and pain following a period of immobility.

Blake did a thorough analysis of my shoulder mobility, stability, and pain, then provided a detailed plan of action to improve.  He showed me all of the movements, had me perform them during the session, and followed up with an email (including video-clip reminders of the movements) explaining what exercises to do and when.  I particularly liked that he set a limit on the pain threshold I should stay within, not just while exercising but also the day after.  Highly recommend!

Blake came highly recommended to me and he has not disappointed! He is professional, knowledgeable, prompt and efficient with your time. He’s the best! I’m still in the middle of therapy for a frozen shoulder but I can already tell I’m making progress!
